Okay, I admit it. It's been way too long since I've written. I could make all kinds of excuses, but I have better uses for my creativity. So how about I just promise not to do it again, and we let it go. Sound good?
So. On to updates.
The seasons are changing, and here in Ohio that means winter is upon us. I don't care what the calendar says, winter is officially here when the swamp starts freezing. While this means my outdoorsy mother is sure to get cabin fever soon, it also kicks off the start of our crafting season.
Mom is still at it with the woodburner, finishing up some custom orders before moving on to more stuff for the shop.
I've been busy with my new sewing machine. While I'm planning on making some things to sell, right now I'm busy with some projects for charity. Who knows, maybe I'll do a few more for the shop. I'll post the finished results, but until then I'll just give some teasers.
Sarah is learning the art of woodburning from Mom, but doesn't have anything for me to post yet. So tune in next time to see what she's up to.

I'm a little past due for an update, aren't I?
The fund is still going strong. We've got donations trickling in all the time. Besides that, Amber and Mark are constantly receiving gifts of all sorts from people. I especially want to thank Mercedes here; your package came the other day was an even bigger hit than planned.
If you received a thank-you email from me, you might remember that apartment Amber and Mark were hoping for. It turned out to be a no-go. So if any of you in the Massillon area know of a good place for rent (pets are a must), drop me a line and I'll pass it on.
You may have seen the couple in the paper lately. They're definitely getting their 15 minutes over all this. Articles can be found here, here, and here.
Aside from that, keep up the good work folks. You've all been such a great help.

A great big thanks to those of you who have already donated! We don't have many donors yet, but all of you who have contributed have been very generous. I don't have words enough to describe how thankful we are for people like you.
Also, I've been getting a lot of questions from people who don't have the cash to spare but want to help in some other way. The easiest thing you can do is keep passing that link around. The more people who hear about it, the better chance of someone donating. And a donation doesn't have to be much. Honestly, if everyone just donated $1 it would make a world of difference.
Amber has told me that a few of her neighbors aren't as fortunate as her when it comes to having a support team around. So at her request, this fund is expanding to include them as well. Once I get in contact with them I'll put up a list of things they need.
Again, thank you so much for coming together to help people in need. If you're a friend of Amber's and Mark's, I don't need to tell you why this is so important. If you've never met them, an extra special thanks goes out to you for helping a stranger in such dire circumstances. Keep up the good work, guys. Let's see how far we can take this.

As you may have heard, there were two major apartment fires here in Massillon last night. One of them destroyed the home of our friends, Amber and Mark. Thankfully, they and their pets made it out safe and sound. But they lost everything.
We are asking anyone who is able to please donate. While Amber and Mark have found a place to stay, they'll still be needing new clothes, pet supplies, and every other one of life's necessities. It's not easy to start over, especially under such devastating circumstances. Thanks for your help in making things even the slightest bit better for these wonderful people.
